Essential Exfoliating Foot Mask

1/2 cup oatmeal (grind in cuisinart)
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup coarse salt
1/2 cup unscented body lotion
4 tablespoons aloe vera gel

1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.
2. Slide feet into mixture and rub, beginning at toes, working up to heel and ankle.
3. Do one foot at a time, rinsing in a separate bowl of warm water.

Tired Tootsie Remedy

Daily grind wreaking havoc on your feet? This recipe is just what the SpaGirl ordered. Before you go to bed tonight rub it in and give those tired tootsies what they want and need.

You'll need:
Unscented body cream
Essential oil of peppermint
Essential oil of lavender

Here's what you do: Add 12 drops of peppermint oil and 5 drops of lavender oil to 1/2 cup of body cream. Stir and store in a plastic or glass container. To use, first soak your feet in a tub or pail of warm soapy water for several minutes. Rinse and dry your feet. Then rub your feet generously with the foot cream, lay down on a bed and elevate your feet with a few pillows. For extra soft tootsies, don your favorite warm socks and sleep with the lotion on through the night.

Peppermint Foot Scrub

1/2 cup Cornmeal
2 tablespoons Grapeseed Oil
2-4 drops of pure Peppermint Essential Oil

Mix the ingredients to create your foot scrub. After soaking, smooth on the foot scrub and gently scrub off calluses and dry, dead skin using a pumice stone, loofah, or other abrasive sponge. Rinse with cool water and dry, including between the toes.

Finish this stage off by taking care of the toenails. Remember to cut the toenail across instead of around the edge to prevent ingrown nails. Lightly file the nails smooth with an emery board.

Peppermint Foot Soak
Soak feet for 15 to 20 minutes in a basin of warm water with a couple of drops of pure peppermint essential oil. Pat Dry. For tired legs try a soothing peppermint oil rub. Massage into legs and leave on during the time of your foot soak. It will help you feel refreshed and ready to go.

also try:
1/2 Cup Grapeseed Oil 2-4 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil Combine oils and massage into tired legs. Leave on while enjoying the foot soak. Pat dry when finished.

Peppermint Foot Cream

1/2 cup Aloe Vera Gel
1 1/2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Witch Hazel
2-4 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

Mix aloe, cornstarch and witch hazel in glass bowl. Microwave 1-2 minutes, stirring in 30-second intervals. Cook until mixture becomes clear and thick. Mix in the peppermint essential oil and store in an airtight container. Smooth on feet after using the foot scrub.

An Additional Foot Tip:
If you work out, apply Peppermint Foot Cream before exercise. Research shows the aroma of peppermint can help you work harder and faster, resulting in more calories burned during exercise.
