Basic Bath Bomb recipe

2 Cups Baking Soda
1 Cup Corn Starch
1 Cup Citric Acid

You mix these ingredients well together, add color and FO/EO todesire. It will foam a bit. Spritz enough Witch Hazel on to be ableto make a ball. Be careful not to over-spritz as it will take out alot of the fizz.

I have not had luck making balls with my hands, but I have used an ice cream scoop with success. Some have used Melon Ballers for smaller bath bombs.

I made bath bombs with this recipe with some 'tweaks' of my own to the recipe, and used the ice cream scoop, and they came out looking like mint ice cream scoops, and they work just great, and smell great.

There will be cracks in the scoops/balls, and if you are really worried about the cracks, wet your finger with witch hazel and go over the crack with your finger. Some cracks add to the 'character,'I think.
Good luck with your bath bombs!!!"

Lip Balm recipe

Bath_and_Body : Message: Re: Lip Balms: Melt and Pour v. From Scratch: "Lip balms are easy to make from scratch and here is a simple recipe

4 oz beeswax, either white or regular
4 oz oil such as olive, almond, apricot kernal, etc
1/2 ts Vit E liquid

Melt all together in pot or in glass in microwave until beeswax is
melted then let it cool a while so it is not too hot and pour into a
lip balm tube and let it cool until firm before covering with the
top so moisture does not form inside the cover.

You can also add some sweetner if desired such as 1/4 ts of honey or
Stevia [natural sweetner] or Flavoring oils. Do not add Essential
Oils [EO] unless your sure no one is allergic to them and even then
only a few drops, and never add any Fragrance oils to a lip balm."

Toiletry Recipes, bath and body recipes, step by step tutorials, tips, calculators, and supplies.: "My Favorite Lotion
Submitted by: Melanie Hayes
http://hayeswebdesign.com

Ingredients:
15 oz. Olive oil
2 oz. Mango butter
3.8 oz. Emulsifying wax (e-wax)
2 oz. Shea butter
102 oz. Water
2.5 oz. Stearic acid

Directions
There are two things I hate about lotion: 1) It takes forever to rub in and it's greasy feel. 2) It seems like you have to keep re-applying it. This lotion took a while to create. I use the olive oil because it soaks in nicely. Shea for it's natural source of vitamins A&E and known sunblock protection factor. Mango is similar to shea, but helps cut down on the greasiness. This combination is great for me to use at work! I use a pea sized amount, rub it in, and I'm good to go for a long time. No greasy feel to my hands, and I don't have to keep putting it on."

Ingredients:
.9 oz coco butter (unrefined ok)
.9 oz shea butter
0.1 oz jojoba oil
1 ml FO (I use Sweetcakes Special Edition Vanilla)

Directions
(this recipe makes one 2oz stick; I usually make 5 at a time) Melt coco & shea butters (I use the microwave), stir in jojoba and when completely blended, stir in FO (optional, but a nice touch). Pour into 2oz size push-up-style lotion bar containers (pour up to the tippy-top; they shrink as they cool), and pop in the freezer for about 10 mins. Remove (it's OK if they're a touch frozen), label, and use. According to my very pregnant sister-in-law, this is brilliant for keeping stretch marks at bay. While it's solid in the container, it melts immediately on contact with skin (just like dairy butter would). Belly butter MUST be stored at about room temperature (70 F) or it will melt in the tubes and make a big mess. Can be stored in the fridge during the summer."

Recipe for Body Butter - The Ponte Vedra Soap Shoppe

Recipe for Body Butter - The Ponte Vedra Soap Shoppe: "Ingredients:
2 ozs cocoa butter (weighed)
2 ozs natural shea butter
(weighed)
2 ozs mango butter (weighed)
1 teaspoon wheat germ oil
3 teaspoons apricot kernel oil
1 teaspoon beeswax pearls
Mango fragrance oil (or any
fragrance oil)
1/4 teaspoon Vit E. (optional, as
a preservative)
Directions:
In a microwave safe measuring cup, add all the ingredients except the fragrance oil. Melt, in 1 minute intervals in high until all the ingredients have liquefied. Continue to heat on low for another 2-3 minutes (do not boil). The continued heating will help prevent the butters from becoming grainy once solid. Remove from microwave and stir. Let set to cool for a few hours and stir again. Before the mixture sets (overnight), add your fragrance oil and stir, even whip, to incorporate the scent. Spoon into jars or tins and label.
Note: This is a firmer body butter.
If you prefer a softer butter, the
consistency can be adjusted
by decreasing the amount of
beeswax and/or cocoa butter. Or
just adding a drizzle of liquid
glycerin."
